What this is
This is an Awakening Project event hosted by Experience Church, Pray the Bay, and Reality SF.
Malachi 4 promises that God will "turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the hearts of the children to their parents." Awakening Generations is a gathering of teaching, conversation, and equipping to make that promise practical. Gen Z and many in Gen Alpha have stepped into leadership, and they need more than programs. They need people who will walk with them in three areas that shape a life: leadership, vocation, and life formation.
Who it's for
Spiritual mothers and fathers have a unique calling in this work:
Middle generation: Pastors, parents, and ministry leaders who serve as the bridge, carrying responsibility today while making room for the young and drawing wisdom from those ahead
Elder generation: Grandparents, mentors, and seasoned believers who offer care for the soul and shade over the boldness of young leaders, not to dim their fire but to help it last
Schedule
9:00 AM-11:30 AM | MORNING SESSION
11:30 AM-1:00 PM | BREAK FOR LUNCH (off site, on own)
1:00 PM-4:00 PM | AFTERNOON SESSION + PRAYER WALKING
4:00 PM | EVENT ENDS
You'll leave with
A biblical framework for intergenerational ministry drawn from Malachi 4
A clearer sense of your generation's calling and how it fits with the others
Leadership: Practices for developing young leaders without controlling them, and following them without abandoning wisdom
Vocation: Ways to help Gen Z and Gen Alpha discern calling in a noisy, uncertain world
Life formation: Rhythms for the slow, unglamorous work of shaping character rooted in Christ
New relationships across generations
Lessons from the Asbury Outpouring
In 2023, the Asbury Outpouring drew the attention of many, and Gen Z was at the heart of it. Members of the team who helped steward those days will share, humbly, what they learned about how older generations can stand behind young leaders in prayer, support, and quiet service, and beside them in shared work and honest counsel. We offer these lessons not as a formula, but as a testimony from Kentucky, with great hope for what God will do in San Francisco.
Come ready to listen, to speak, and to turn your heart.
