FAQs
Why Herrnhut?
In 1727, a group of Christians living in Herrnhut experienced an outpouring of the Holy Spirit marked by God’s unique presence, increased hunger for the reading of His Word, deep reconciliation with one another, burdens for evangelism, and travailing prayer. From that encounter, 100 years of continuous, nonstop prayer and intercession followed. Many stayed and many were commissioned and sent as missionaries. This move of God reignited an emphasis on devotion, unity, contending prayer, and mission that grew to impact the wider Church.
What should I expect?
As we walk the streets of Herrnhut, we will visit key sites including the Moravian Church and meeting house, the town square, God’s Acre cemetery, and surrounding prayer landmarks that tell the story of a community shaped by unity, consecration, and sustained prayer.
This experience is more than a historical tour. It is an immersive journey with awakening leaders, marked by shared meals, guided conversation, teaching, and prayer, as we listen together for how the legacy of Herrnhut might shape our leadership and life today. Herrnhut reminds us that awakening often begins quietly, in communities that make room for God to move.
Who is this for?
Anyone participating in a 2026 Awakening Project conference is welcome to submit an application. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis, with priority given to young adults.
For those attending either Awakening Project in Manchester or Revival Connect in Munich, this experience would serve as a great pre or post-conference add-on.

Why is there an application?
Because spaces are limited and the logistics for this experience are complex, we use an application to help us steward the gathering well. The application allows us to ensure that everyone admitted has space in accommodations and transportation as needed, and it also helps us get to know participants so we can discern a good fit for the experience. We know applying takes extra time, and we’re grateful for your patience and care in the process. You can expect to hear from us promptly. We respond to applications within two days, and if you apply during the week of Christmas, you can expect a response the following week. Once accepted, your spot will be held for one week to allow time to register and submit payment.
